Job Summary
The purpose of this role is to drive export business growth by acquiring, managing, and scaling relationships with leading global apparel brands, buying offices, and their nominated garment vendor networks across various geographies. The position requires a strong understanding of international sourcing structures, compliance frameworks, and vendor ecosystems to ensure consistent order flow, margin discipline, and long-term scalable partnerships.
Responsibilities

Business Development & Key Account Management
- Build and manage relationships with global brand sourcing teams, fabric managers, and product development teams.
- Drive fabric nominations, developments, and bulk conversions across multiple brands.
- Expand business across categories, regions, and vendor networks.
- Ensure season-on-season repeatability and wallet share growth.

Vendor Ecosystem Penetration
- Work closely with brand-nominated garment vendors.
- Build strong working relationships with factory merchandisers, fabric sourcing teams, and production heads.
- Drive business through vendor engagement and execution strength, beyond just brand approvals.
- Map vendor capacities, allocations, and sourcing shifts.

Costing, Pricing & Margin Control
- Handle FOB-linked commercial understanding and negotiate effectively.
- Ensure margin discipline while scaling volume and prevent loss-making programs.

Order Execution & Calendar Management
- Drive adherence to global seasonal calendars, including timely approvals, smooth bulk conversion, and on-time dispatch.
- Act as a central coordination point between brand, vendor, and internal teams.

Compliance & Quality Alignment
- Ensure adherence to testing protocols, RSL requirements, and sustainability standards.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure first-time-right bulk execution.

Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Track global fashion trends and sourcing shifts.
- Identify growth areas in fast fashion and sustainable programs.

Team & Process Contribution
- Strengthen pipeline tracking, forecasting, and management information systems (MIS).
- Mentor team members and represent the company at international buyer meets and trade platforms.
Qualifications

Experience:
- 10 – 15 years in export textile marketing, specifically in woven fabrics.
- Strong exposure to global brands, buying offices, and vendor ecosystems.

Skills & Competencies:
- Comprehensive understanding of fabric construction, GSM, yarn counts, and finishes.
- Knowledge of FOB costing logic and global sourcing dynamics.
- Excellent relationship management skills across multi-country stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and execution capabilities.

- Confident in dealing with international stakeholders.
- High ownership mindset and strong follow-through.
- Solution-oriented approach.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fast fashion or global sourcing-driven environments.
- Direct expertise in woven fabrics like poplin, oxford, twill, dobby, jacquard, and corduroy.
Experience
- 10 – 15 years in export textile marketing (woven fabrics) with a strong exposure to global brands and vendor ecosystems.
Environment
- The position is based in Gurgaon, with domestic and international travel as required.
