Job Description: HR VCP Head – Jashvik Capital Role Overview The HR VCP Head will lead the human capital agenda across Jashvik Capital’s portfolio companies, working as a strategic partner to founders, CXOs, and HR leaders. This role owns Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, and Employee Engagement across the portfolio and ensures HR systems are standardized, data-driven, and aligned with value creation goals. The role also manages a soft dotted-line relationship with HR Heads of all portfolio companies to ensure consistent implementation of people practices. Key Responsibilities 1. Talent Acquisition & Leadership Hiring • Lead end-to-end hiring for all mid–senior roles across portfolio companies. • Source resumes via LinkedIn, networks, industry databases, and research firms. • Conduct talent mapping and industry scanning to proactively identify candidates for upcoming and critical roles. • Structure and run interview processes, competency frameworks, and final assessments. • Build and maintain a talent bench for critical roles across functions (Sales, Manufacturing, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Tech, HR). • Manage hiring dashboards and monthly updates with Jashvik partners. 2. Performance Management Across Portfolio • Design and implement a unified performance management framework (KRA/KPI setting, quarterly reviews, balanced scorecards). • Support portfolio CXOs and HR Heads in setting role clarity and functional KPIs aligned with value creation plans. • Lead annual appraisal cycles, including calibration, compensation alignment, and promotion frameworks. • Build a culture of structured performance feedback and accountability. 3. Employee Engagement & Culture Building • Design and roll out engagement frameworks across companies—pulse surveys, culture audits, action plans. • Identify culture gaps and drive interventions in collaboration with portfolio HR leads. • Build leadership development and training programs for high-potential talent. • Set best practices for onboarding, employee communication, recognition programs, and grievance mechanisms. 4. HR Systems, Processes & Governance • Standardize HR policies, SOPs, and people practices across the portfolio while allowing company-level customization. • Establish monthly HR reviews with each portfolio company (hiring, attrition, engagement, performance). • Ensure compliance with Jashvik’s HR governance model. • Create HR dashboards for partners: hiring status, attrition, performance outcomes, employee NPS. 5. Stakeholder Management • Work closely with Jashvik Partners and Operating Team to align HR priorities with the portfolio value creation roadmap. • Provide guidance to the HR Heads of each portfolio company through a soft dotted-line relationship. • Conduct quarterly deep dives with portfolio CEOs and HR Heads to drive clarity and accountability. • Manage external agencies—recruiters, consultants, learning partners—as needed. 6. Special Projects • Compensation benchmarking and org design for new or scaling portfolio companies. • Succession planning for business-critical roles. • Support M&A HR due diligence and integration planning. • Build high-performance culture frameworks for sales, factories, and corporate roles. Key Metrics (KPIs) • Time-to-hire & quality-of-hire for portfolio roles • Leadership hiring success rate • Offer-to-join ratio • Portfolio attrition rate (critical & voluntary) • Employee NPS / engagement scores • Completion of performance cycles on time • Adoption of HR systems & processes across companies • Strength of leadership pipeline Candidate Profile • 12–18 years in HR, with experience in Talent Acquiisition, Performance Management, and Org Development. • Deep experience in multi-entity HR leadership, preferably across PE/VCbacked companies, conglomerates, or multi-SBU structures. • Strong ability to work cross-functionally with CXOs and founders. • Hands-on operator with strong research, sourcing, and execution skills. • Strong understanding of manufacturing, FMCG, consumer, or tech-enabled businesses (aligned with Jashvik portfolio). • Analytical thinker who can build systems while rolling up sleeves to execute.
