Job Title: Chief Investment Officer (CIO)
Location: GIFT City, Gujarat
Company Overview:
Caravella Asset Management (IFSC) Private Ltd is being set up in GIFT City as a Non-Retail fund management entity dedicated to delivering exceptional investment solutions to our clients. We strive to have USD 1 Billion in assets within two years of our operations. Besides, we are also setting up a feeder fund in Abu Dhabi to solicit investments from some of our existing and new clients.
Position Overview:
As the Chief Investment Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the investment strategy for Caravella Asset Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire investment process, managing investment portfolios, and providing strategic guidance to ensure the achievement of financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive investment strategy aligned with the organization's goals and risk tolerance.
- Conduct thorough market analysis, research, and due diligence to identify investment opportunities and risks.
- Stay abreast of market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes to make informed investment decisions.
- Portfolio Management:
- Manage and optimize investment portfolios to achieve targeted returns while mitigating risks.
- Implement tactical asset allocation strategies and adjust portfolios based on market conditions and investment performance.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing investments and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Risk Management:
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to safeguard the interests of clients and stakeholders.
- Utilize sophisticated risk assessment tools and methodologies to identify, measure, and manage investment risks effectively.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing investment team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure alignment of investment strategy with overall organizational goals.
- Client Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing transparent communication and addressing their investment concerns.
- Work closely with the business development team to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; CFA or equivalent professional designation is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Chief Investment Officer or in a senior investment management role.
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and portfolio management.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
