Sales Engineer / Sr. Sales Engineer
Job Summary
The Sales Engineer / Sr. Sales Engineer is responsible for achieving and exceeding monthly and yearly sales targets by increasing business within assigned accounts. This role involves understanding customer requirements and market trends, introducing the latest products and technical updates, and developing new customers through lead follow-up and prospecting. The position requires close coordination with internal logistics and technical teams to ensure smooth sales operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed monthly and yearly sales targets.
- Increase business within assigned accounts by understanding customer needs and market segments.
- Introduce latest products and technical updates to customers.
- Record customer visits and maintain regular updates in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Coordinate regularly with internal logistics and technical teams.
- Develop new customers by following up on leads and prospecting.
- Follow up on quotations, conduct commercial negotiations, and persuade customers to place orders.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Previous experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales and marketing for industrial automation.
- Knowledge of handling Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) market, end-user markets, and panel builders.
- Automation knowledge of top brands such as Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley (AB), Siemens, and OMRON.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in distribution or integration within the industrial automation sector.
Experience
- 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in sales engineering or related roles.

- Salary Range: INR 5,00,000 to 9,00,000 per annum
