Job Summary
The Oracle HCM Cloud Senior Techno-Functional Consultant plays a critical role in providing both functional and technical leadership in the implementation and configuration of payroll systems for the US and Canada. This role requires a balance of 70% functional and 30% technical expertise, ensuring that payroll processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and configuration of payroll elements for the US and Canada regions.
- Demonstrate strong functional and technical knowledge of payroll processes and element setups for both regions.
- Ensure compliance with US and Canada year-end reporting requirements (T4/RL1/W4).
- Write and implement fast formulas for payroll elements.
- Develop reports using BIP and OTBI.
- Participate in SDLC activities and manage tasks using JIRA.
- Handle High Data Load (HDL) processes, including Payroll Balance Initializations and Adjustments specific to US and Canada localizations.
- Customize pay slip templates as per business requirements.
- Prepare detailed functional requirement documents and ensure thorough documentation of configurations.
- Conduct regression testing for RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements) components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve open cases/issues in coordination with the team.
- Analyze and document the impact of configuration changes on Payroll Fast Formulas.
- Support governance for data integrity by managing data imports/exports and validating accuracy.
- Consult on and implement new software applications or modules based on existing requirements and configurations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 8 years of functional experience in US and Canada Payroll systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven knowledge of Oracle Fusion HCM modules, particularly in the Payroll area.
- Experience with North America tax regulations and compliance.
- Ability to prepare functional requirement documents efficiently.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience with JIRA for project management.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Availability to work during night shifts.
Experience
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud with a focus on US and Canada Payroll implementations, configurations, and compliance.
