Job Summary

The SQL Developer will be responsible for database development, including migration, data design, optimization, and performance tuning. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of database systems utilized by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of databases from MSSQL to PostgreSQL, ensuring accuracy and system integrity.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to enhance performance and minimize resource consumption.
• Design and model relational databases based on project requirements.
• Utilize tools such as pgAdmin and DBeaver for database management and monitoring.
• Implement PL/pgSQL functions, triggers, and other advanced PostgreSQL features.
• Analyze indexing strategies and execution plans to improve overall query performance.
• Coordinate data migration and transformation (ETL) processes as needed, ensuring data integrity.
• Debug and troubleshoot database issues while adhering to coding best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience working as a SQL Developer.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL programming.
• Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience in database design and relational data modeling.
• Proficient with database management tools like pgAdmin and DBeaver.
• Knowledge of PL/pgSQL, functions, triggers, CTEs, and window functions.
• Understanding of transaction management, isolation levels, and locking mechanisms.
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data transformation techniques.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in SQL development, preferably with PostgreSQL.

Environment

• Work location will be at BKC, Mumbai.

Salary
