Job Summary
The Fund Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of investment funds. This role is vital to ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements, ultimately contributing to the firm’s success.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of investment funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare financial statements, fund valuations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with auditors during quarterly and annual financial audits.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and related documentation.
- Monitor and reconcile fund transactions and accounts regularly.
Qualifications
- Education: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in fund accounting or similar roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of investment funds and related financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of advanced accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with performance metrics and reporting standards for investment funds.
