Platform Engineering Engineer 3

Job Summary

The Platform Engineering Engineer 3 is responsible for managing Microsoft SQL Server database technologies and ensuring the performance and availability of enterprise operations. This role contributes to the organization's goals by leveraging cloud technologies and database management systems to support critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage Microsoft SQL Server database technologies, including MSSQL versions 2016 to 2022, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)/Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Ensure high availability and performance of database systems in a critical enterprise environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize database solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues and implement necessary improvements.
• Assist in the migration and integration of databases with Azure and other cloud providers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience managing Microsoft SQL Server database technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)/Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Familiarity with additional database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle (19c), Postgres, MongoDB, and Couchbase is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud providers other than Azure.
• Knowledge of database security best practices.
• Familiarity with database backup and recovery strategies.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in database management and engineering.

Environment

• Work setting is in-office located in Bangalore.
• Potential travel to North America, South America, and/or Europe (5%).

Salary

• Estimated salary range: ₹2,800,000.
