The role:

We are looking for a software engineer who is hands-on, with backend experience to architect

and build the next generation of blockchain-based and digital assets applications for the

financial services industry.

To succeed in this role, you need to be passionate about building 0-to-1 products and should

have the skills & the ability to execute quickly.

Responsibilities:

● Contribute to the architecture and development of complex systems that involve a

combination of smart contracts and backend infrastructure.

● Work cross-functionally with the design, product and engineering teams to design &

create high-quality modules & applications

● Take the lead on hiring and helping build the engineering and domain skills required to

maintain a critically important system

● Contribute towards writing and maintaining documentation & instruction manuals

● Ensure product stability through testing and development of best practices

● Write TypeScript / JavaScript / Python SDKs & APIs (Rust / Java / Go / Node.js / Python)

that allow users to programmatically interact with our systems

Requirements:

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related

field.

● 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering and strong command of computer

science fundamentals and software development.

● Knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL, in-memory), messaging queues, load balancers,

web servers, reverse proxies, networking protocols (TCP, UDP), communication

protocols (REST, Websockets)

● Experience with at least 1 object oriented programming language such as Java / C++ /

Rust / Go

● Experience with at least 1 general purpose language like Python or JavaScript

● Experience developing applications using a microservices style architecture

● Experience writing code in Agile, CI/CD environment

● Experience with virtualisation & container orchestration software like Docker &

Kubernetes

● Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP. Appropriate certifications is

a plus

Nice to haves:

● Prior working experience on distributed backend systems at a large tech organization

● Prior working experience on blockchain related projects / DeFi protocols is a plus

● Experience building high-performance & reliable REST & WebSocket APIs is a plus

● Experience with IaC solutions like Terraform / Pulumi is a plus

● Research, apply, and invent new smart contract paradigms. Some of our solutions utilize

the latest EIPs, complex interoperability solutions, zero-knowledge proofs, etc
