Head, Real World Data Engineering

Job Summary

The Head of Real World Data Engineering will lead the development of business requirements for data curation through collaboration with relevant stakeholders within and outside the Real World Data Management and Analytics (RWDMA) team. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless data integration and usage, driving value in alignment with Disease Area Strategies and other key R&D priority areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of business requirements for data curation by collaborating with stakeholders.
• Maintain strong connections with analytical groups and R&D Data Platform teams to ensure seamless data integration.
• Develop and implement the vision and strategy for designing a framework to consistently curate data.
• Partner with Disease Area Heads in R&D to provide high-quality curated datasets for disease and asset-level data strategies.
• Enable bi-directional transparency between Business and R&D Tech to align strategies and achieve business objectives.
• Ensure all datasets meet analysis-ready and privacy requirements through necessary data curation activities.
• Transform raw healthcare data into products for the RWDMA and Biostatistics teams to generate insights.
• Support data-driven decision-making processes to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in data curation, data integration, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data processing.
• Experience with data privacy and security standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Educational qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degrees (Master's or PhD) preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling.

Experience

• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data management, or a related field.

Environment

• Work setting: Hybrid (combination of remote and in-office work).
• Location: Bengaluru Luxor North Tower.

Salary

• Estimated salary range: ₹8,500,000.
