Job Summary
The Performance Marketing Manager will oversee the performance marketing engine for a diverse portfolio of six categories. This role is crucial in bridging brand-building spending with measurable customer acquisition. The manager will establish a solid foundation for a financially sound performance infrastructure in FY 27, preparing for a significant budget expansion in FY 28.
Responsibilities
- Manage performance marketing across Meta, Marketplace Ads, Google, and YouTube to deliver planned revenue and achieve category-wise Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) targets.
- Develop and implement the performance marketing strategy across the purchase funnel, encompassing awareness, consideration, conversion, and repeat purchases.
- Conduct continuous A/B testing, focusing on various elements (creative, copy, audience, landing page, offer structure) with a minimum of three live tests per week.
- Mentor the Performance Marketing Assistant Manager to achieve planned outputs and develop team playbooks for multi-category and platform campaign management.
- Provide weekly performance dashboards that include metrics such as Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS), blended CAC, Advertising Cost of Sales (ACOS), and new versus returning customer ratios.
- Collaborate with the creative team (copywriters and designers) to produce performance-driven ad briefs, iterating and scaling successful creatives.
- Oversee the E-Commerce and Q-Commerce marketplace ad strategy in coordination with the E-Com lead.
- Build a retargeting and loyalty acquisition layer, incorporating CRM integration with Meta and WhatsApp click-to-convert flows.
- Identify and integrate emerging performance channels, including Over-the-Top (OTT) retargeting and Connected TV (CTV).
- Manage relationships with platform ad teams, leveraging AI to:
- Automate ad campaigns to enhance ROI while reducing manual processes.
- Monitor sudden changes in Click-Through Rates (CTR) or conversions to initiate immediate corrective actions.
- Continuously build and refresh high-performing audience segments based on behavioral patterns.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, with at least 3 years managing monthly ad spend exceeding 1 Crore across Meta, Google, and marketplaces.
- Proficient in using Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, Flipkart Ads, and attribution tools.
- Strong understanding and management of Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and Lifetime Value (LTV) frameworks, with an emphasis on payback periods and blended ROAS.
- Proven ability to run sophisticated performance marketing campaigns with data-driven strategies.
