Store Incharge

Job Summary

The Store Incharge is responsible for managing the entire store operations, including inventory management, material receipt and inspection, storage optimization, material issuance, procurement coordination, quality compliance, and record keeping. This role ensures the availability of materials to meet production and project demands while maintaining accuracy, safety, and compliance with company policies. The Store Incharge plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s operational efficiency and project success.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels, monitor material receipt, issuance, and consumption with proper documentation, conduct periodic stock audits, implement FIFO and LIFO principles, and manage slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Material Receipt, Inspection & Documentation: Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) for inspection of incoming materials, ensure compliance with specifications, prepare Goods Received Notes (GRN), and manage documentation of rejected materials.
  • Storage & Space Utilization: Design and optimize warehouse layout, classify and organize materials for easy access and safety, maintain a clean and hazard-free environment, and follow QC guidelines for sensitive materials.
  • Material Issuance & Dispatch: Coordinate with production and project teams for material issuance as per Bill of Materials (BOM), ensure QC-approved materials are dispatched, maintain issuance records, and manage material returns.
  • Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment, track purchase orders, provide stock consumption data for demand forecasting, and assist in supplier evaluation.
  • Quality Coordination & Compliance: Work with QC for pre-receipt inspections, handle Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensure calibration of inspection instruments, maintain batch-wise traceability, and ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.
  • Record Keeping & ERP Management: Update inventory records in ERP systems, generate inventory reports, maintain documentation of GRNs, material issues, NCRs, and supplier evaluations, and implement barcode or RFID systems to improve stock management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Material Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Additional certifications in Inventory Control, ERP Systems, or Warehousing preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in store management, preferably in façade engineering or construction.
  • Proven experience handling façade materials such as aluminum profiles, glass panels, sealants, and accessories.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in inventory control and ERP system management.
  • High attention to detail for maintaining accurate stock records and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination.
  • Analytical thinking to assess stock consumption trends and recommend improvements.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with procurement, production, and QC teams.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure timely material dispatch.
  • Problem-solving skills to address material shortages, quality issues, and discrepancies.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with façade materials including curtain walls, glass panels, Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP), and aluminum profiles.
  • Understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements related to material handling.
  • Experience managing project-based inventories.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years in store management roles.
  • Relevant experience in façade engineering or construction industries is preferred.

Environment

  • Full-time, in-office position.
  • Location: Bangalore, India, Peenya Industrial Area.
  • Work environment involves warehouse and store settings requiring organization and adherence to safety standards.

Salary

  • Estimated salary: ₹7.2 Lakhs per annum (INR).
