Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager with extensive expertise in Credit Risk Management. This role focuses on delivering large, end-to-end programs in risk and compliance within the banking sector in the UAE. The Program Manager will act as a liaison among business, risk, IT, and data teams, ensuring the timely and compliant delivery of key initiatives while upholding governance, risk controls, and facilitating effective stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Deliver complex programs related to credit risk and compliance from initiation to completion.
- Oversee projects in areas such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), Risk Assessment, and Fraud Control.
- Apply knowledge of relevant regulatory standards including Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), Basel III, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS 9), and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP).
- Work with risk systems such as Moody’s, ACTICO, SAS Risk, Oracle FCCM, and Experian.
- Coordinate across multiple functions to align business and technical objectives effectively.
- Engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
- Identify potential risks and issues early, implementing mitigation plans and tracking progress.
- Share regular updates, dashboards, and reports with senior management to keep them informed.
- Ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration within the team.
Qualifications
- 16–20 years of overall experience with a solid background in program/project management.
- Deep expertise in Credit Risk Management and managing risk-based projects.
- Mandatory: Prior experience in the UAE banking sector.
- Strong technical understanding with the capability to bridge business and IT needs.
- Excellent communication and strong stakeholder management skills.
- Confident in challenging assumptions and influencing business decisions.
- Solution-oriented leadership style with high accountability.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with advanced risk management frameworks and methodologies.
- Experience in regulatory reporting and compliance auditing within the banking sector.
Experience
A minimum of 16–20 years of relevant experience in program management with a focus on credit risk and compliance within the banking industry.
Environment
This position is based in the UAE, with a work environment that requires interaction with multiple departments, senior management, and external stakeholders.
