Job Summary
As a Transformation Manager (TM Development), you will collaborate with development functions across various verticals including scooter development, charging infrastructure, accessories, and merchandise (mechanical, electrical, hardware, firmware, software). Your primary responsibility is to set up and strengthen processes and systems that impact key development KPIs such as cost, timeline, and quality. You will leverage your product development expertise to identify gaps and blockers, improve development processes, and work closely with internal audit teams to gather feedback on process performance.
Responsibilities
- Optimize the product development cycle by identifying root causes of discrepancies affecting CTQ (Cost, Timeline, Quality) metrics and executing corrective action plans.
- Analyze critical P0/P1 gaps in the development product lifecycle, suggest corrective and preventive actions, and track closure through respective functions.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives by improving PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and Teamcenter tools, including business case development, ROI analysis, PRD (Product Requirement Document) creation, solutioning, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), training, and post-deployment support.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process and system improvements to enhance quality, speed, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with technical developers to optimize digital tools and ensure smooth adoption across teams.
- Work with internal audit teams to monitor and improve the effectiveness of established processes and systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering.
- 10 to 12 years of experience in 2W (two-wheeler) or 4W (four-wheeler) automotive product development.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end automotive product development lifecycle from concept to start of sales.
- Expertise in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, especially Teamcenter.
- Strong knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and Change Management.
- Experience in designing and improving development processes and systems across multiple domains.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency in ERP software such as SAP and collaboration tools like JIRA.
- Basic understanding of simulation tools such as ANSYS and MATLAB is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Championing PLM and Teamcenter implementations.
- Ability to develop business cases and conduct ROI analysis for digital transformation projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process gaps and implement improvements.
- Excellent communication and training skills for conducting UAT and post-deployment handholding.
Experience
- 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in automotive product development, preferably in two-wheeler or four-wheeler segments.
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end Teamcenter implementation.
- Proven track record in process optimization and digital transformation within product development environments.
