Job Summary

We’re seeking a skilled Power Electronics Test Engineer with hands-on experience in automotive power electronics testing. Ideal candidates will be proficient in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)-based test environments and comfortable with both manual and tool-based validation techniques. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and safety of power electronics systems in the automotive domain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system testing—including test case creation, execution, and reporting—for safety-critical power electronics systems.
• Operate and manage OPAL-RT HIL benches for power electronics validation.
• Use CAN tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, and CANape for signal analysis and diagnostics.
• Apply knowledge of ISO 26262 and/or ASPICE methodologies in testing workflows.
• Utilize source code and issue tracking tools to document bugs and resolution activities.
• Perform Python scripting for test automation (basic proficiency preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in power electronics testing.
• Hands-on experience with HIL testing environments, particularly OPAL-RT.
• Proficient in using CAN analysis tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape).
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and ASPICE testing methodologies.
• Experience in source code management and issue tracking tools.
• Basic proficiency in Python for test automation.

Experience

4–8 years of relevant experience in the automotive power electronics domain.
