Job Summary

The Principal, Data Science and Advanced Analytics will define the data science and analytics strategy and manage the delivery roadmap. This role involves consultative problem-solving with stakeholders, leading the execution of innovative and high-value analytics visualizations, and ensuring the development of sound model methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the data science and analytics strategy and delivery roadmap.
• Consult with stakeholders to identify problems and potential solutions, leading the execution of analytics visualizations.
• Implement model development methodologies with clear quality objectives and measurement methods.
• Ensure machine learning models are trained and tuned for accuracy and relevance, adhering to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
• Collaborate with a team of Data Scientists and Analysts to execute the strategy efficiently, providing hands-on support for development activities.
• Develop team members on methodologies and advanced analytics approaches, fostering high morale and motivation.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, acting as a “player-coach” to pull through expertise in critical deliverables.
• Productize analytics solutions and proof of concepts on Azure-based analytics platforms, considering engineering constraints and system performance needs.
• Create compelling summaries and narrative dashboards that visualize data and align with stakeholders' goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong technical skills in machine learning, data visualization, and analytics methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with Azure analytics platforms and cloud-based solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and consultative skills.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex data insights clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior team members.
• Familiarity with SDLC principles and best practices in software development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and their applications.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.

Experience

• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in data science and analytics roles, with a focus on machine learning and advanced analytics.

Environment

• Hybrid work mode, with a typical work setting located in Bengaluru Luxor North Tower.

Salary

• Estimated salary range: ₹6,500,000.
