Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled Data Engineers to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines, leveraging strong expertise in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (preferably GCP or AWS). This role will contribute to delivering robust data solutions that drive business insights and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for various business and analytics requirements.
• Utilize Python and SQL extensively for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Implement and optimize data models to support scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
• Work with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS preferred) to deploy and manage data infrastructure.
• Integrate diverse data sources and ensure data quality and integrity throughout the pipeline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services highly preferred).
• Demonstrated experience with a comprehensive technical stack in previous projects.
• Proven ability to build, deploy, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data modelling concepts and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• Exposure to CI/CD practices for data engineering.
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.

Experience

• Relevant experience required in building and maintaining data pipelines, working with cloud services, and implementing data modelling solutions.
• Experience in a similar data engineering role or related technical position is highly valued.

Environment

• Work Location: Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Noida (on-site or as per company policy).
• Contractual position with a start date within 15 days of offer acceptance.
