Job Summary

We are looking for a Creative Director who can hold the entire Bodega brand world in their head and bring it to life across every surface it touches. This role is the most senior creative position at BTD, requiring a leader who will craft the creative vision that connects all brand experiences. You will be responsible for the aesthetic and narrative consistency of Bodega, influencing its presence across different mediums, while shaping a marketing team that embodies the essence of the brand.

Responsibilities

  • Creative Vision & Brand Direction: Own and evolve the Bodega brand world, ensuring visual identity and tone of voice are consistent and fresh across all touchpoints.
  • Team Leadership & Creative Direction: Build and lead a high-output marketing team, writing inspiring creative briefs and managing relationships with external partners.
  • Storytelling & Content Strategy: Drive the brand’s narrative by overseeing content strategy across various platforms and ensuring all content has a clear point of view.
  • Brand IPs & Experiential: Develop Bodega’s signature brand experiences and ensure that in-person and digital interactions are consistent and engaging.
  • Marketing Strategy & Commercial Alignment: Collaborate with the CEO and Head of Sales to align creative output with commercial objectives and manage the annual marketing calendar.
  • Culture, Influence & PR: Establish and maintain Bodega’s presence in cultural communities while leading influencer strategies and public relations efforts.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8–12 years in brand, creative, or marketing roles, with at least 3 years in a creative leadership capacity.
  • Portfolio: A demonstrative portfolio showcasing a range of work: digital content, campaigns, experiential design, and brand identity.
  • Leadership Ability: Proven experience in leading and developing creative teams, fostering an environment of trust and high output.
  • Cultural Context: Deep understanding of India’s cultural landscape within food, nightlife, music, fashion, and design.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the beverage, luxury, food & beverage, or lifestyle sectors preferred.
  • Editorial Skill: Strong narrative instinct, understanding pacing and impact of storytelling.
  • Balancing Skills: Ability to manage both creative ambition and commercial reality effectively.
  • Collaboration: Experienced in working with external production and design partners.

Preferred Skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a creative engine from scratch.
  • Strong aesthetic convictions coupled with curiosity about culture and art.
  • Comfort with startup ambiguity and rapid pace of execution.

Experience

  • 8–12 years in relevant brand, creative, or marketing roles with at least 3 years in a leadership position.

Environment

The position is based in Mumbai, within a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment. The role may require flexibility to adapt to various tasks from high-level strategic planning to hands-on execution.
