Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Snowflake technologies to join our team in a remote, offshore capacity. This role requires deep expertise in Snowflake’s advanced capabilities along with strong cloud architecture and programming skills. As a senior member of the team, you will design and implement data solutions, drive innovation using Snowflake's evolving feature set, and provide architectural guidance across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions using Snowflake and its advanced features.
- Work extensively with Snowpipe, Snowpark, Cortex, Polaris Catalog, Native Applications, Notebooks, Horizon, Marketplace, and Streamlit.
- Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to define architectural standards and best practices.
- Build and maintain efficient data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Conduct advanced data profiling and write complex SQL queries for analytics and performance optimization.
- Integrate Snowflake solutions with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Develop reusable components using Python, Scala, or Java.
- Guide junior engineers and conduct code reviews and architecture assessments.
Required Skills:
- 7–11 years of overall experience in data engineering and cloud architecture.
- Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake, including Snowpipe, Snowpark, Cortex, and related tools.
- Strong expertise in SQL, with a focus on performance tuning and data quality.
- Proficiency in at least one of: Python, Scala, or Java.
- Architectural certification on AWS, Azure, or GCP is mandatory.
- Solid understanding of data security, governance, and cataloging using Snowflake.
Preferred / Good to Have:
- Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Architect Certification.
- Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
