Job Summary

The Director of AI Investments will lead the firm's investment strategy in artificial intelligence startups and technologies. Based in Bangalore, this role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in venture capital, responsible for identifying promising AI ventures, conducting due diligence, and managing investment portfolios. The position plays a critical role in driving the company's growth and innovation in the AI sector.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities in AI startups and emerging technologies.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including market analysis, financial assessment, and technology evaluation.
• Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other venture capital firms.
• Develop and present investment proposals to the senior management and investment committees.
• Monitor and support portfolio companies post-investment, providing strategic guidance and oversight.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, innovations, and regulatory developments in AI and related fields.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or related investment roles.
• Proven track record of successful investments in AI or technology startups.
• Strong understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related technological advancements.
• Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and due diligence skills.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degrees (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred.
• Prior experience working in a venture capital firm or investment fund focused on technology sectors.

Preferred Skills

• Deep network within the AI startup ecosystem and venture capital community.
• Ability to assess technological innovations and their commercial viability.
• Strategic thinking and long-term vision for AI investment opportunities.
• Multilingual skills or regional experience in India and global markets.

Experience

• 10-12 years of relevant experience, specifically in venture capital or investment roles within the technology or AI sectors.
• Demonstrated success in deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management.
