Commerce - DevOps - Sr Engineer

Job Summary

This role is geared toward a senior DevOps engineer responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our systems. The candidate will be involved in maintaining compliance through security patches, handling bug fixes, addressing L3 escalations, and managing comprehensive testing and release procedures. They will also play a key part in monitoring cloud resources and supporting on-call duties to maintain smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Apply security patches and perform QCR/Compliance bug fixes.
• Manage L3 escalations, including PDP drop-in for FE BF/Holiday support.
• Prepare for special events, including end-to-end and performance testing.
• Validate releases and deploy applications on pre-production environments.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting changes.
• Monitor AWS resources and Kubernetes clusters.
• Participate in on-call duties to ensure round-the-clock support.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in DevOps practices, particularly with AWS, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Splunk, and Grafana.
• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot, with a good understanding of coding and application frameworks.
• Hands-on experience working with MongoDB.
• Knowledge of security patching, compliance measures, and release management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and an ability to resolve critical escalations.
• Educational qualification in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., BSc, BTech, MTech).

• Experience handling high-demand scenarios like holiday loads and special events.
• Effective communication skills and a strong team-oriented attitude.
• Familiarity with best practices in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
