ELK Backend Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking two experienced ELK Backend Developers to join our team in Bangalore on a full-time basis. As an ELK Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend solutions that leverage the ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack. You will play a critical role in enabling real-time data analysis, log management, and visualization for our products and clients. This position serves as a key contributor to the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our backend infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Integrate and optimize data pipelines for efficient log collection, transformation, and indexing.
• Develop RESTful APIs to interact with Elasticsearch and expose data to frontend applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ELK stack deployments for performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, frontend developers, and data analysts to deliver robust solutions.
• Document architecture, processes, and best practices for backend and ELK stack usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with a focus on the ELK stack.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Proficiency with Elasticsearch (indexing, querying, cluster management).
• Experience with Logstash and/or Beats for data ingestion and processing.
• Solid understanding of Kibana for data visualization and dashboard creation.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Familiarity with Linux-based environments and scripting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Knowledge of security best practices for ELK stack deployments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with other log management or monitoring tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant backend development experience, with a proven track record of implementing and managing ELK stack solutions.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced, data-driven environment is highly desirable.
