Job Summary
The Innovation Manager will play a crucial role in spearheading corporate sales and market access initiatives for Global HealthX’s portfolio. This position aims to identify business opportunities, foster corporate relationships, and transform introductions into pilot programs, partnerships, and commercial ventures within the healthcare ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Manage corporate sales and business development for Global HealthX portfolio, alumni, and cohort companies.
- Identify and build relationships with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, diagnostics chains, clinical research organizations (CROs), insurers, corporates, and other healthcare/life sciences stakeholders.
- Understand each startup’s product, target customer, pricing, and market readiness to create relevant sales opportunities.
- Facilitate warm introductions, follow-ups, pilot discussions, and commercial conversations.
- Maintain a structured pipeline of leads, meetings, opportunities, and conversion status.
- Work closely with startups to refine their pitch, value proposition, pricing, and sales approach for India and other target markets.
- Coordinate with internal teams, mentors, clinicians, and industry experts to support startup growth.
- Track outcomes, prepare reports, and share regular updates on pipeline progress and conversions.
- Support events, demo days, corporate innovation programs, and ecosystem partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in healthcare management, life sciences, biotechnology, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, innovation, or startup ecosystem roles.
- Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, medtech, digital health, pharma, hospitals, diagnostics, or health-tech is required.
- Good understanding of healthcare stakeholders, B2B sales cycles, pilots, partnerships, and commercial decision-making.
- Strong ability to manage corporate relationships and drive follow-ups to closure.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work with founders, senior corporate leaders, clinicians, and internal teams.
- Structured approach to pipeline management, reporting, and execution.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with accelerators, venture studios, innovation teams, healthcare startups, hospitals, or corporate partnerships.
- Existing network across hospitals, healthcare providers, pharma, diagnostics, medical devices, or health-tech companies would be advantageous.
- Exposure to healthcare innovation, clinical validation, market access, or startup commercialization preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years in relevant roles in sales, business development, or partnerships within the healthcare and life sciences industry.
