Job Summary
The Head – Investor Relations & Corporate Development will play a pivotal role in engaging with investors, driving strategic initiatives, and supporting high-impact business growth. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with founders and senior leadership, this role acts as a key interface between investors, leadership, finance, and other stakeholders. The position involves managing investor relationships, supporting fundraising efforts, executing mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and identifying strategic investment opportunities to accelerate the company's growth trajectory.
Responsibilities

Investor Relations
- Manage relationships and engagement with existing and prospective investors, shareholders, and financial stakeholders.
- Lead the preparation of investor updates, board materials, investor presentations, Management Information Systems (MIS), and performance reports.
- Develop and communicate the company's business narrative, growth drivers, financial performance, and key metrics.
- Track investor feedback, industry trends, competitor performance, and valuation benchmarks.
- Maintain investor databases, sector intelligence, and communication repositories.

Corporate Development & Strategy
- Support CFO, founders, and leadership on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and inorganic growth opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition, investment, and strategic partnership opportunities.
- Conduct market, sector, competitor, commercial, and financial analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Assist in due diligence, transaction evaluation, and preparation of investment/management presentations.
- Build financial models, business cases, and valuation analyses including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), comparable companies, and precedent transactions.

Fundraising & Strategic Projects
- Support fundraising and capital-raising initiatives, including investor decks, financial models, projections, data rooms, and transaction materials.
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, bankers, investors, and external advisors on strategic transactions.
- Drive high-priority projects from analysis through execution within the Founder’s Office.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Translate complex financial and business information into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: MBA/PGDM from a reputed Tier-1 institute, preferably in Finance, Strategy, or a related discipline.
- Professional Experience: 6–10 years in Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Private Equity/Venture Capital, or similar roles.
- Experience working with founders, CXOs, investors, or Board-level stakeholders.
- Strong exposure to financial modeling, valuation, fundraising, M&A, or strategic investments.
- Experience in high-growth Technology, EdTech, or New-age organizations is an advantage.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, and Strategy.
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling expertise.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and executive presentation development.
- Strong analytical, valuation, and business acumen.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, research, and project management skills.
