Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced PostgreSQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL database development, optimization, and administration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions that meet the business and technical requirements of high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases for various applications.

• Optimize database performance through indexing, partitioning, query tuning, and configuration.

• Develop complex SQL queries, functions, triggers, and stored procedures.

• Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of database services.

• Perform data modeling and database architecture design for new projects.

• Implement robust backup and recovery solutions and ensure data security and compliance.

• Collaborate with application developers and DevOps teams to support CI/CD and data integration.

• Monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues proactively.

• Document database systems, standards, and procedures.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database development and tuning.

• Deep understanding of SQL, query optimization, indexing strategies, and partitioning.

• Experience with logical/physical database design and data modeling tools.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL replication, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Proficiency in writing and debugging stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

• Familiarity with database security, encryption, and compliance standards.

• Hands-on experience with migration tools and strategies (e.g., Oracle to PostgreSQL).

Good to Have:

• Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, GCP Cloud SQL).

• Exposure to NoSQL or other RDBMSs like MySQL, Oracle, etc.

• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell) for automation.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes in a data-centric environment.
