Job Summary

The Software Tester is responsible for executing manual testing processes to ensure software quality and reliability. This role contributes to the organization's goals by identifying defects and ensuring that products meet specified requirements before deployment.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive manual tests based on defined test plans and specifications.
• Utilize testing frameworks, including Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber, to validate software functionality.
• Conduct database testing to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman.
• Understand and apply testing principles and strategies, including the defect life cycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues and ensure effective communication in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on manual testing processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of testing principles and strategies.
• Proficient in database testing and hands-on experience with testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of API testing and familiarity with tools like Postman.
• Excellent understanding of release testing, sign-off, and deployment methods.
• Proven ability to proactively resolve issues and escalate problems as needed.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with market data such as fixed income or equity.
• Familiarity with index/benchmarks can be an advantage.

Experience

• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience as a Software Tester.
