Job Summary
The SDE Tester plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of software applications. Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on software usability.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and discrepancies, ensuring effective communication of issues to the development team.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that existing functionalities remain unaffected by new updates.
- Assist in implementing automated testing tools and procedures to streamline testing processes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving software architecture and design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for quality assurance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
Experience
- Relevant experience in software testing or quality assurance is preferred.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams is a plus.
