Job Summary
The Custody and Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the Custody, Exchange-Traded Derivatives Clearing, Fund Accounting, Depository, and Bullion Operations of the Bank. This role involves team management, escalation management, ensuring function deliverables, and providing exceptional client servicing. The candidate will interact with regulators and stakeholders to ensure compliance and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and complete assigned tasks within designated timelines.
- Manage operations related to custodial services, exchange-traded derivatives clearing, fund accounting, depository participation, NRI PIS services, and bullion operations.
- Provide effective client service by executing transactions and activities according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain trackers for errors, audits, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
- Engage with regulators (SEBI, RBI) and other stakeholders regarding compliance and operational matters.
- Prepare and publish Management Information Systems (MIS), business newsletters, and reports, measuring team productivity regularly.
- Lead efforts in process improvements and automation projects to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement risk policies and internal control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Graduate/Post Graduate
- Professional Certifications: MBA or CA preferred
- Language Skills: Proficient in English and Hindi
- Experience:
- 20+ years in Custody, DDP operations, and exchange-traded derivatives clearing.
- Fund accounting experience with PMS/AIF/MF.
- Knowledge of depository participant services and NRI PIS services in an AD Bank.
- Experience in bullion operations within a banking context.
Preferred Skills
- Strong domain knowledge in custodial and derivatives operations.
- Expertise in regulatory guidelines and their applications.
- Familiarity with transaction processing software.

- Over 20 years of relevant experience in custody and DDP operations, exchange-traded derivatives clearing, fund accounting, depository participant services, and bullion operations.
