Mainframe Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Mainframe Developers to join our team on a contractual basis. In this role, you will create and maintain mainframe applications, ensuring that they are robust, scalable, and efficient. Your contributions will support critical business functions and help drive the overall success of the organization. Please note that there are 2 openings available, with work locations in Bangalore and Hyderabad. The start date is not specified, and applications are open until April 29, 2025 (deadline noted also as 2025-05-30T18:30:00.000Z).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Optimize mainframe applications for performance and reliability.
• Debug and troubleshoot production issues to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Mainframe Development.
  • Experience with IBM Db2.
  • Strong working knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in modernizing legacy mainframe systems.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of additional IBM mainframe tools and technologies.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Mainframe Development, with a proven record of delivering successful projects.
