Devops Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Devops Engineer for a contractual position based in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing both on-premises and cloud-based production systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to streamline processes and enable rapid development and deployment cycles.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Build, configure, and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, application deployments, and network configurations.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure smooth code releases and operational stability.
• Automate routine operational tasks and document processes for future reference.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in security, scalability, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or related engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Docker Networking and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Familiarity with source code management tools (e.g., Git).
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix administration and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Strong understanding of security best practices in DevOps environments.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proven track record in managing containerized applications and orchestrators (Docker, Kubernetes).
