Job Summary
The Chartered Accountant – Client Finance Lead is a critical role responsible for managing the financial operations of a portfolio of clients across multiple jurisdictions. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, compliance, banking, treasury, transfer pricing, and statutory obligations, while leading a team of finance professionals. This position offers high visibility and the opportunity to work with fast-scaling, globally-funded businesses, providing strategic financial insights and ensuring regulatory compliance across diverse regions.
Responsibilities

Financial & Management Reporting
- Own end-to-end financial reporting for assigned clients across all jurisdictions (US, India, Singapore, Switzerland).
- Prepare monthly management accounts, MIS packs, and board-level financial reports with insightful commentary and variance analysis.
- Manage period-end close processes including GL review, reconciliations, and consolidation across entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with applicable standards (US GAAP / IFRS / Ind AS).

Complete Financial Management
- Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes for each client entity.
- Oversee accounts payable, general ledger, and financial controls.
- Monitor financial performance against KPIs and proactively flag risks and opportunities.
- Manage the chart of accounts, ERP setup, and accounting infrastructure for client entities.

Banking & Treasury Operations
- Oversee day-to-day banking operations including payment approvals, fund transfers, and bank reconciliations across geographies.
- Manage relationships with banking partners in India, US, and Singapore.
- Monitor liquidity positions and coordinate inter-company funding arrangements.

Transfer Pricing & Intercompany
- Manage intercompany transactions, recharges, and settlements across multi-country client structures.
- Ensure transfer pricing policies are in place and compliant with local regulations.
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation and benchmarking studies.

Multi-Country Statutory Compliance
- Oversee statutory compliance obligations across India, US, Singapore, and Switzerland.
- Coordinate with local advisors and tax consultants.
- Manage direct tax, indirect tax (GST/VAT/Sales Tax), and payroll compliance.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns, annual reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits.

Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 4–5 finance professionals.
- Allocate work, review deliverables, and foster a culture of accuracy and accountability.
- Support the development and training of junior team members.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Chartered Accountant (ICAI)
- Experience: 5–7 years of post-qualification experience
- Technical Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of Ind AS, US GAAP, and IFRS
- Familiarity with multi-jurisdiction compliance requirements in India, US, and Singapore
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting platforms such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with reporting and BI tools is an advantage
- Working knowledge of Transfer Pricing concepts and intercompany arrangements

Preferred Skills
- Experience in a Virtual CFO firm, Finance Outsourcing, Shared Services, or Big 4/mid-tier CA firm handling multi-client or multi-country engagements
- Knowledge of international tax regulations and compliance
- Experience with financial modeling and BI tools
Experience
- 5–7 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in roles involving financial reporting, compliance, and client-facing finance management across multiple jurisdictions.
