Job Summary

The NPD Lead will be responsible for driving the product development process within the organization, focusing on the innovation and formulation of new products in the healthcare and wellness sectors. This role is crucial to ensure that the firm can translate innovative ideas into commercially viable products, thereby contributing to the firm's growth objectives and overall mission.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire new product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization.
• Develop clear product briefs, formulation directions, and prototype plans to guide product launches.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, testing labs, and external formulation partners.
• Ensure strong understanding and application of dietary supplements, nutraceutical ingredients, and product development processes.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to timelines and quality specifications.
• Conduct ingredient research and ensure the validity of product specifications, including COAs, stability, testing, and quality documents.

Qualifications

• Experience: 4–8 years of experience in new product development, formulation, R&D, product innovation, or technical product roles in relevant categories such as supplements, nutraceuticals, functional foods, pharmaceuticals, Ayurveda, and FMCG.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, and dosage forms.
  • Proficient in product development processes and project management.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working with various supplement formats including capsules, tablets, powders, stick packs, and gummies.
• Education: Degree in a relevant field, such as Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Nutraceuticals, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with regulatory compliance related to product development in the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of current trends in health and wellness markets.

Experience

• A minimum of 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in the new product development or related fields.

Environment

• The role is based in Mumbai at the company's headquarters, located at Unit 1201, Floor 12B, Tower 2B, One World Center, off Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel, Maharashtra 400013.

Salary

• The budget for this position is approximately INR 20 LPA.
