Job Summary: As the Head of Costing, the candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our cost accounting processes. The candidate will be responsible for accurately tracking and analyzing costs related to our manufacturing operations, ensuring that our products are competitively priced while maintaining profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, extensive experience with SAP, and a proven track record in the manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the Costing department, providing guidance and support to team members. • Develop and implement cost accounting strategies to enhance cost control and profitability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather cost-related data and insights. • Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions. • Prepare and present accurate and timely cost reports to senior management. • Monitor key cost drivers and variances, highlighting areas for improvement. • Utilize SAP (or relevant ERP systems) to maintain accurate and up-to-date cost data. • Streamline and optimize SAP processes related to costing and reporting. • Collaborate with finance teams to develop cost budgets and forecasts. • Ensure compliance with cost accounting standards and regulations. • Support internal and external audits related to cost accounting practices. • Identify opportunities for process improvements in cost accounting procedures. • Implement best practices and drive efficiency in cost tracking and reporting. Basic Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. • Qualified Cost Accountant (e.g., CMA, ICWA) certification is required. • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience in cost accounting within the manufacturing industry. • Strong proficiency in SAP ERP system • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and presentation abilities. • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
