Job Summary

The Business Application Lead is a strategic role responsible for leading non-SAP applications and advanced technology implementations. This role focuses on driving digital transformation and process improvement through automation, integration, and innovative technologies to support manufacturing operations. The candidate will play a key role in managing projects, ensuring technological advancements, and improving overall business efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Business Applications:

  • Understand and evaluate business needs for new applications and tools aimed at automating factories, reducing costs, and enhancing customer experience.
  • Implement and manage non-SAP applications including CRM, WMS, HRMS, TMS, Webportal, Spark Vision, and Industry 4.0 automation technologies.
  • Deploy SAP C4C and B2B E-commerce portal solutions to enhance customer connectivity.
  • Oversee project implementations ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Continuously scan the IT landscape for technological advancements and drive new IT projects in consultation with management.

• Partner Management:

  • Identify, establish, and manage strategic partnerships with IT vendors, negotiate project costs, and oversee their performance against SLAs.

• Customer Satisfaction:

  • Ensure effective customer feedback collection and analysis regarding IT services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve IT services based on customer feedback.

• People Management:

  • Develop manpower planning and talent strategy for the IT sub-function.
  • Drive a collaborative, high-performance culture through goal setting, performance reviews, and mentoring.
  • Implement functional capability building frameworks, learning, and development programs for the team.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant engineering discipline.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or related field is a plus.

• Technical and Soft Skills:

  • Strong experience in ERP Implementation, SAP ERP, and CRM Software Management.
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA ERP integration is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to implement and manage non-SAP applications such as CRM, WMS, HRMS, and TMS.
  • Knowledge of innovative technologies like Digital Factory, Robotics, AI/ML, IoT, and RPA.
  • Demonstrated project management and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in handling large-scale SAP B2B commerce platform deployments and SAP C4C.
• Exposure to cyber security and IT risk management, although not mandatory.
• Familiarity with technologies such as IoT, Digital Twins, and Robotics for manufacturing.
• Previous experience in related industries such as Real Estate, Glass, Chemical, or Process Manufacturing.

Experience

• Minimum 10+ years of work experience, including 6-7 years in a similar leadership role within a large or mid-sized manufacturing organization.
• Proven experience in managing business application rollouts and handling complex projects.
• Prior experience managing sizable teams (approximately 5 members) and working with multiple stakeholders (internal and external).
