Workday Tech Lead

Job Summary

The Workday Tech Lead is responsible for leading technical teams in the development, enhancement, and support of Workday modules including Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Finance, and Recruiting. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the successful implementation and integration of Workday solutions, contributing to the organization's overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and support Workday modules, particularly HCM, Payroll, Finance, and Recruiting using tools such as Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Workday Extend, Core Connectors, and BIRT (Business Intelligence Reporting Tool).
• Lead technical teams on Workday projects, including implementations, upgrades, and ongoing support.
• Perform hands-on development tasks with strong skills in XML, XSLT, XSD, SOAP/REST APIs, and Workday Report Writer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Workday applications.
• Address complex problem-solving and debugging issues, ensuring optimal performance of the Workday systems.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices in Workday development.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience:
  • 7–10 years of overall IT experience.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Workday development and integrations.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong expertise in Workday Studio, Workday Extend, EIB, Core Connectors, and BIRT.
  • Proficiency in XML, XSLT, XSD, SOAP/REST APIs, and Workday Report Writer.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills

• Additional experience with other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.

Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant IT experience, demonstrating a strong background in Workday integration and development.
