Job Summary
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems and solutions. The role involves developing and optimizing data pipelines, integrating new data sources, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data engineering tools, cloud platforms, and data modeling, and will contribute to driving Accenture’s data and analytics initiatives forward.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures for large-scale data processing.
- Develop, implement, and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Integrate various data sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Document technical solutions, workflows, and best practices for data management and engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience with ETL development and data pipeline orchestration.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
- Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and relational/non-relational databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of data governance, data security, and privacy best practices.
- Experience with machine learning pipelines or data science workflows.
- Certifications in relevant cloud or data engineering technologies.
Experience
- Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles.
- Proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data solutions in a professional environment.
