About the Role
We’re looking for a Performance Marketing Manager who can own and scale performance across Amazon + D2C. You will work closely with an external agency — but hold the internal steering wheel. That means pushing for better performance, aligning on strategy, coordinating creative needs, and ensuring budgets deliver results.
This is a high-impact, early-stage role where your decisions will directly influence revenue, velocity, and brand momentum from day one.
What You’ll Do
1. Own Marketplace + D2C Performance
- Lead and optimise campaigns across Amazon Ads & D2C platforms (Meta, Google, YouTube, etc.).
- Manage key metrics: CAC, ROAS, retention KPIs, LTV curves, and funnel drop-offs.
- Maintain daily dashboards and share insights proactively.
2. Agency Management with Accountability
- Act as the internal point person for our performance marketing agency.
- Push for experimentation, creative–media alignment, and deeper campaign optimisation.
- Ensure accountability around budgets, timelines, and performance targets.
3. Creative Alignment + Experimentation
- Work closely with the in-house creative team to build high-performing assets:
- Static + video ads
- UGC-style content
- Landing pages
- Funnels and variations
- Provide sharp feedback on what is working (and what isn’t).
4. D2C Funnel & Retention Ownership
- Build and maintain CRM flows: email, SMS, WhatsApp, post-purchase journeys.
- Identify funnel bottlenecks and collaborate on CRO improvements.
- Drive repeat purchase strategies and loyalty interventions.
5. Marketplace (Amazon) Growth
- Own Amazon catalogue hygiene, PDP optimisation, and conversion improvements.
- Lead keyword planning, sponsored ads strategy, promotions, and ranking improvement tactics.
- Monitor reviews, inventory coordination cues, and platform-specific insights.
6. Growth Analysis & Experimentation
- Run structured A/B tests for audiences, creatives, bidding strategies, and landing pages.
- Build hypotheses, track results, and make data-backed recommendations.
7. Cross-functional Growth Collaboration
- Work with product, creative, and ops teams for launch coordination.
- Feed category insights into product and brand strategy.
Who You Are (Skills & Experience)
Required
- 3–6 years of performance marketing experience in a D2C or consumer brand.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Advertising + Meta/Google for D2C.
- Ability to manage agencies while maintaining clear internal ownership.
- Strong understanding of growth metrics (CAC, ROAS, MER, payback, LTV).
- Experience with CRM, email flows, and retention strategies.
- Highly analytical with the ability to convert data into insight-driven decisions.
- Strong organisation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Bonus
- Experience with Quick Commerce (Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart).
- Prior launch-phase or early-stage startup experience.
- Understanding of CRO and landing page optimisation.
- Exposure to marketplace strategy beyond Amazon (Flipkart, Nykaa, etc.).
