Job Summary
The General Manager – Talent Acquisition will lead scalable, data-driven, and sustainable hiring across Sales, Support, and Technology teams. This role is pivotal in optimizing hiring processes, leveraging contract-based workforce strategies, and ensuring an analytics-driven approach to talent decisions. The GM will drive the end-to-end hiring strategy, implement best-in-class hiring practices, and support Porter's hypergrowth and operational excellence objectives.
Responsibilities

Strategic Talent Acquisition & Hiring Excellence
- Design and implement a scalable talent acquisition strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Optimize contractual hiring models for Sales and Support teams, ensuring flexibility and cost efficiency.
- Establish structured hiring frameworks for Technology teams, balancing speed and quality of hires.
- Enhance Porter’s employer brand, positioning it as a top choice for talent in the logistics-tech space.

Data-Driven Workforce Planning & Analytics
- Develop real-time hiring dashboards to track cost-per-hire, time-to-fill, and hiring quality.
- Utilize predictive analytics to forecast workforce demands and hiring needs.
- Ensure data-backed decision-making in sourcing, screening, and talent pipelining.

Process Automation & Recruitment Optimization
- Standardize structured interview processes and competency assessment frameworks for bias-free, quality hiring.
- Implement continuous process improvements to optimize recruiter bandwidth and efficiency.

Contract & Alternative Workforce Strategies
- Build and execute a scalable contract workforce strategy for Sales and Support teams.
- Develop partnerships with staffing agencies, third-party vendors, and gig workforce platforms.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, contract regulations, and workforce governance.

Business Partnership & Leadership Collaboration
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Tech leadership to align Talent Acquisition with business growth and expansion plans.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and finance teams to ensure cost-effective hiring and headcount planning.
- Establish strong vendor management and campus hiring strategies for long-term talent pipelines.

Candidate Experience & Employer Branding
- Drive seamless and high-touch candidate experiences, ensuring high offer acceptance rates.
- Strengthen Porter's employer brand through talent marketing, social media, and employee advocacy.
- Implement strategies to improve new hire retention and productivity post-onboarding.
Qualifications
- 10-12 years of talent acquisition experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of scaling hiring operations in a high-growth, fast-paced startup.
- Expertise in data analytics, workforce planning, and recruitment automation.
- Experience in contract and gig workforce hiring for Sales and Support teams.
- Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), AI-driven hiring tools, and recruitment Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
