About Alpha Wave We are a global investment company with a variety of partnerships that cover a number of asset classes, themes, and geographies; ranging from venture/growth to public markets to private credit.    We have offices in New York, Miami, London, Bengaluru, Monaco, Madrid, Abu Dhabi, Tel Aviv, and Sydney.   Position We seek to hire a highly motivated individual for the position of Valuation and Portfolio Specialist as part of our global credit valuation team in Bengaluru. This role requires interest from experienced candidates who have in-depth coverage of the private credit asset class, have superior financial modelling skills, an experience of building detailed and complex financial models, and have a mindset of building a best-in-class global processes from scratch.    Key Responsibilities <ul> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Understanding economics and value drivers underlying each position of the fund. Identify key valuation drivers and assist in establishing valuation frameworks </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Developing financial models for valuations using accepted and relevant approaches in compliance with relevant industry-specific guidance </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Handle analysis of valuation-related information including reviewing financial statements, credit reports and cash flow models </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Ensure there are consistent methodologies and efficient processes in place for valuations with proper documentation </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Build highly flexible and versatile asset to asset financial models rolling up to the portfolio to monitor portfolio positions, returns and scenarios </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Build fund accounting models feeding from the portfolio model to enable monthly reporting processes </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Organize and manage valuation committees alongside managing interactions with the senior management team </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Update valuation policy and associated governance framework as relevant </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Work with internal and external stakeholders on all valuation-related matters within the Private credit investments including financial control, risk and external auditors </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Assist with the review and challenge of externally performed valuations </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policy (including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct) </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Overseeing the audit planning process, providing support and analysis to external audit teams, and assisting with the management of the annual audits relating to valuations </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Build a reporting platform using PowerBI or any other visualization tool </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Assist with implementation of various technological tools associated with the business </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Get exposure to venture/growth valuations stream depending on business needs </li> </ul>   Key Requirements <ul> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Strong academic background in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> 6-10 years of experience in valuations, preferably in private credit valuation </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Excellent financial modelling skills </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Highest standards of professionalism, integrity, honesty, and reliability </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Strong analytical skills in understanding the driving factors for credit valuations and overall economics of the credit assets  </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Good knowledge of global fund and corporate vehicle structures </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Strong collaborator with excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical and technology skills </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Keen to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced work environment </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Being an independent and self-directed person, able to manage tasks effectively and complete tasks within agreed timelines </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> CFA or other relevant professional certification is a plus </li> <li aria-level="1" dir="ltr"> Understanding of data science tools and relevant programming languages is a plus </li> </ul>
