React Native with tvOS

Job Summary

The React Native Developer will play a crucial role in designing and developing high-quality, pixel-perfect applications on both mobile platforms. The position requires leveraging native APIs for deep integration and troubleshooting to deliver a smooth and native-feeling user experience. The developer will also participate in transitioning existing web applications to React Native and contributing to community-driven improvements.

Responsibilities

• Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth User Interfaces (UIs) for mobile platforms using React Native.
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks to ensure native-level performance.
• Transition existing React web applications to React Native while maintaining high standards of code quality.
• Collaborate with the open-source community to implement critical software fixes for React Native projects.
• Maintain and write automated tests to ensure the highest quality of the product.
• Architect and design excellent React Native applications employing clean coding practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in developing React Native applications.
• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript (or Clojure Script), including deep understanding of ES6+ syntax.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
• Ability to write well-documented, clean JavaScript code.
• Experience in working with third-party dependencies and debugging conflicts.
• Familiarity with native build tools such as XCode and Gradle.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage solutions.
• Experience with automated testing suites for application reliability.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with react-native-tvos and focus-navigation for Android TV and tvOS.
• Knowledge of media players like AVPlayer and ExoPlayer.
• Proficient in using developer tools such as react-dev tools.
• Ability to implement clean, modern animations and transitions for a superb user experience.
• Experience releasing applications to the Apple and Google Play Stores.
• Skills in optimizing applications for low-end devices while ensuring a consistent user experience across Android and iOS.

Experience
