Job Summary
The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between development and operations by improving collaboration and productivity through automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment practices. Responsibilities
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of software applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate tools and processes that promote DevOps principles.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Ensure security, compliance, and cost-effectiveness in all deployment processes.
- Document processes, best practices, and create user guides for team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Strong understanding of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
Experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps or similar roles.
