Job Summary

The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between development and operations by improving collaboration and productivity through automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment practices. This position aims to enhance the reliability and efficiency of software systems and help the organization achieve its strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of software applications.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate tools and processes that promote DevOps principles.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Ensure security, compliance, and cost-effectiveness in all deployment processes.
• Document processes, best practices, and create user guides for team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong understanding of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of database management systems and SQL.

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps or similar roles.
