Position Overview:
The Vice President - HR will serve as a strategic leader, driving Excelra’s global people strategy. This role requires a dynamic HR professional with deep expertise in talent strategy, culture-building, and HR innovation within fast-paced, knowledge-driven industries such as life sciences, data analytics, and technology. The VP-HR will work closely with the executive leadership team to foster a high-performance, inclusive, and agile workforce that aligns with Excelra’s mission and growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and execute a global HR strategy aligned with Excelra’s business objectives and scientific mission.
- Partner with executive leadership to drive workforce planning, succession strategies, and organizational development.
- Enhance HR’s role as a key business enabler by aligning people initiatives with Excelra’s rapid growth and market expansion.
2. Talent Acquisition & Management:
- Oversee recruitment strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent in life sciences, data analytics, and technology.
- Implement robust talent development frameworks, including career progression, mentorship, and leadership development programs.
- Optimize performance management processes to foster a culture of continuous feedback and high performance.
3. Culture & Employee Engagement:

- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, ensuring Excelra remains an employer of choice.

5. HR Operations & Compliance:
- Oversee compensation, benefits, HR systems (HRIS), and multi-jurisdictional employment compliance.
- Implement data-driven HR analytics to track key metrics, measure workforce trends, and drive decision-making.
- Ensure HR policies align with global best practices while being adaptable to local regulations and business needs.
6. Innovation & Change Management:
- Leverage HR technologies and industry best practices to optimize HR operations and enhance employee experience.
- Lead change management initiatives that support Excelra’s evolving business model, scaling operations in response to industry demands.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Master’s degree (MBA/HR) preferred.
Experience:
- 12-15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in life sciences, biotechnology, data analytics, or technology-driven industries.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic HR initiatives in fast-growing, global organizations.
- Expertise in talent strategy, performance management, and organizational development.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking with a track record of aligning HR with business goals.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on experience with HR technology systems, workforce analytics, and digital transformation in HR.
- Comprehensive understanding of employment laws, labor compliance, and HR best practices across multiple geographies.
