Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer with a focus on backend engineering to develop and maintain scalable applications. This role is intended for creative problem solvers who can contribute to our continuous improvement and shipping of high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend components using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop efficient and reusable code while ensuring adherence to best practices in REST API design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize application performance.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
- Engage in code reviews and uphold the quality of code through an ownership mindset.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of hands-on backend engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java (Java 11+) and fundamentals including collections, generics, streams, and memory model.
- Solid experience with the Spring Boot framework and its ecosystem.
- In-depth understanding of multi-threading and concurrency; familiar with thread pools, executors, race conditions, and locks.
- Proficient in SQL and familiar with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL.
- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, capable of reasoning about time and space complexities.
- Familiarity with Git and modern developer workflows.
- Possess a proactive ownership mindset, eager to learn, iterate, and deliver results.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge or experience with AWS and cloud-based services.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
