Job Summary

The MQ Engineer will be responsible for running enterprise-level Message Queue (MQ) infrastructure, developing MQ architecture and strategies, and standardizing MQ platforms. This role seeks to ensure that all MQ standards are defined and implemented uniformly across the organization while providing robust monitoring and automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise MQ infrastructure ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop MQ architecture and enterprise-level strategies for effective MQ utilization.
• Standardize MQ platforms and define relevant MQ standards for implementation.
• Implement MQ level monitoring solutions to ensure timely detection and resolution of issues.
• Perform upgrades and manage vulnerabilities in MQ systems.
• Set up monitoring for MQ using tools such as Dynatrace or New Relic.
• Drive end-to-end automations for MQ processes and create tools for automating MQ activities.

Qualifications

• Expert level experience with Rabbit MQ, IBM MQ, and OMQ.
• Excellent automation skills with proven experience in automating MQ tasks, such as rehydrating MQ instances.
• Experience working with Ansible for automating tasks in MQ.
• Proficient in writing automation scripts/playbooks for MQ operations.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Skilled in Jenkins, Git, and Python for CI/CD and pipeline management.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in developing and implementing monitoring solutions for MQ environments.
• Knowledge of additional cloud technologies and principles.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

Experience

• 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in MQ infrastructure management and automation.

Environment

• This role is primarily based in Chennai, Hyderabad, or Bangalore.
• Hybrid work mode is preferred with on-premise presence.
• Candidates must be willing to work in the PST shift (up to 10 PM IST).
