SSIS Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SSIS Developer with strong expertise in PL/SQL and SQL to design, develop, and maintain robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions for large-scale data environments. The ideal candidate will integrate data between SQL Server and Oracle platforms, write complex queries, and ensure optimal data performance and reliability. This role is crucial for supporting enterprise data initiatives and maintaining high data quality across systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy SSIS packages to support ETL processes for data migration, integration, and transformation.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for both SQL Server (T-SQL) and Oracle (PL/SQL).
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL procedures, triggers, and packages in Oracle databases for back-end data processing.
• Collaborate with analysts, data architects, and business users to gather and understand data requirements.
• Perform data validation, data cleansing, and quality checks on datasets.
• Monitor, schedule, and troubleshoot ETL jobs using SQL Server Agent and Oracle Scheduler.
• Participate in performance tuning, indexing strategies, and overall database optimization.
• Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms within SSIS packages for efficient troubleshooting and auditing.
• Maintain thorough documentation of data flows, SSIS package structures, and database design elements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with SSIS, SQL Server, and T-SQL.
• 9+ years of experience in PL/SQL development within Oracle environments.
• In-depth knowledge of data warehousing, ETL best practices, and relational database concepts.
• Proficiency with SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) and Oracle SQL Developer.
• Proven experience handling large datasets and optimizing data flow performance.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or TFS.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-based data integration tools or platforms.
• Knowledge of data modeling and dimensional modeling techniques.
• Exposure to DevOps practices in data engineering projects.
• Prior experience in the banking, finance, or insurance sectors.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and lead code reviews.
• Experience with automated testing tools for ETL processes.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ETL development, SQL Server, and PL/SQL.
• Demonstrated experience in large-scale enterprise data environments.
• Strong background in both SQL Server and Oracle data integration projects.
