Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Scientist to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in time series forecasting, machine learning, and advanced data analytics. This role will contribute to business-critical forecasting processes and interface with stakeholders across the organization to improve forecasting accuracy and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain univariate time series feature analysis.

• Test and integrate new univariate time series models into the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.

• Develop and deploy complex multivariate forecasting models.

• Collaborate with IBP process representatives for troubleshooting and enhancement of model performance.

• Work closely with analytics and domain experts across the organization to optimize forecasting outcomes.

• Provide expert insights during management reviews for focused model analysis.

• Maintain robust documentation and control frameworks for deployed models and tools.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7–10 years of experience in data science or related roles.

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with classical time series analysis tools (ARIMA, State Space Models, VAR, Error Correction Models, etc.).

• 3–5 years of experience in building and deploying machine learning models (Decision Tree, Regression, Gradient Boosting, Deep Learning).

• Proficient in Python and/or R for statistical and machine learning modeling.

• Strong SQL coding skills.

• Experience with Azure tech stack.

• Proven track record of deploying production-grade time series forecast models.

• Skilled in managing code repositories (e.g., Git).

• Academic background in Decision Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or Computer Science.

• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs).

Nice to Have:

• 6+ years of experience implementing and managing time series and machine learning models.

• Experience in supply chain management or marketing analytics projects.

• Exposure to high-volume time series forecasting.

• Understanding of the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) market.

• Knowledge of Structural Equation Modeling.

• Experience with MLFlow, Snowflake, and Azure Databricks.

• Awareness of M Competition outcomes.

• Experience with Generative AI (GenAI) initiatives.

• Master’s degree in Economics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.
