Job Summary

The Head of Technology will play a critical role in driving the development, scalability, and intelligence of WizR's products. This position involves end-to-end ownership of the company’s B2C and government platforms, as well as a strategic focus on expanding the B2B solution. The ideal candidate will have the potential to evolve into the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of scalable backend systems across web and mobile platforms.
• Drive the integration of AI-first capabilities, including assessments, job-fitment scoring, course recommendations, and behavioral insights.
• Manage and optimize infrastructure on AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Google Cloud Platform.
• Build and develop a high-performing, agile engineering team.
• Collaborate with Product, Data teams, and Co-Founders to scale both B2B and B2C platforms.
• Ensure product security, reliability, and performance as user volume grows.
• Own the full delivery lifecycle—from ideation and prototyping to deployment and scaling.
• Work with co-founders on the long-term product and technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in backend engineering and cloud architecture.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proven experience in managing high-scale infrastructure (AWS/GCP preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of microservices, API design, and cloud-native architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI/ML integration into product workflows.
• Leadership Skills: Experience managing and scaling engineering teams.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset; entrepreneurial approach with comfort in high-growth environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in edtech, skilling, or B2C SaaS platforms.
• Exposure to working with government or regulated environments.
• Previous startup or 0-to-1 product scaling experience.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years in relevant roles, with significant experience in backend engineering and cloud architecture.

Environment

• The position is full-time, with a flexible working setup. The specific work location has not been specified.

Salary

• Estimated salary range of ₹6,500,000 - ₹7,500,000 per annum.
