Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by creating test cases, executing tests, and providing feedback to enhance product quality. This role plays a crucial part in collaborating with cross-functional teams, facilitating technical training, and participating in Agile ceremonies to support the development process.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage test cases and feature files.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Development Managers, Developers, Quality Assurance (QA) teams, and Scrum Masters to test products and manage test execution.
• Provide technical training to team members to enhance their skill set.
• Actively participate in all Agile rituals, including Sprint Planning, Grooming, Estimates, and Demos.
• Deliver timely feedback and reports to leadership regarding product quality.
• Contribute to the configuration, maintenance, and deployment of builds in a cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in manual testing with a strong passion for quality.
• Strong analytical skills to identify good testing scenarios.
• Proficient in API testing using any relevant tool.
• Knowledgeable in Mobility (Android, iOS, Windows) & Web technologies.
• Familiarity with database testing is an added advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of QA processes and methodologies, with the ability to create excellent test cases.
• Proficient in tools such as Microsoft Test Manager, Team Foundation Server, Test like, Visual Studio, and Jira.
• Strong debugging skills.
• Knowledge in various testing methods including regression testing, security testing, performance testing, compatibility testing, system testing, black box testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Understanding of programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, and VB Script is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge in database testing.

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.
