Job Summary

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDE Tester) is responsible for developing and executing automated tests to ensure software quality and functionality. This role will work closely with development teams to identify testing requirements and contribute to the overall improvement of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test frameworks and test scripts.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand product requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing on various software applications.
• Monitor and evaluate test results, identify defects, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and test cases.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance product quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and testing processes.
• Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Understanding of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
