Job Summary

The Founding Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological framework of Interface. This role demands a generalist with a T-shaped specialty in LLMs (Large Language Models), Computer Vision, Data, Frontend, or Backend development. The engineer will contribute significantly to the organization's goals by developing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that align with the company's mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using NextJS and TypeScript.
• Implement backend services with C# and Python.
• Design and deploy machine learning models and solutions using AWS infrastructure.
• Manage and optimize databases with MongoDB and Supabase.
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to align technical strategies with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies like NextJS and TypeScript.
• Strong backend development skills in C# and Python.
• Experience with machine learning and data-driven solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS.
• Knowledge of database management using MongoDB and Supabase.

Preferred Skills

• Past experience in startup environments, preferably in founding roles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Visa sponsorship available for in-person work in San Francisco.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant engineering role.
• Previous experience in a startup setting is highly advantageous.
